The method behind the roast

How it works

Every roast line references a real planetary placement from your chart. This is what separates it from a meme generator — the specificity is the whole point.

Why your birth time matters

Your Sun sign is shared with everyone born in the same month — roughly 83 million people. That is why generic horoscopes feel generic.

Your Lagna (Ascendant) changes every two hours and is calculated from your exact birth time and location. Two people born on the same day, same city, two hours apart have fundamentally different charts. That difference is what makes the roast specific enough to sting.

What Vedic astrology is

We use Vedic astrology (Jyotish) with the Lahiri ayanamsa — the Indian standard, distinct from the Western system most apps use. Your Vedic Sun sign is typically one sign earlier than your Western one. A Western Scorpio is often a Vedic Libra. The placements are more precise. The roast is correspondingly more accurate.

How the roast is generated

We calculate your chart from your birth date, time, and city. Your planetary positions, house placements, and current transits are computed and analysed alongside your specific question and life area. Every roast line is required to reference a specific placement from your chart — lines that could apply to anyone get rewritten until they can only apply to you.

If it's funny — why does it feel accurate?

The most useful insight is one you'll remember. Precise astrological observations about patterns, blind spots, and timing delivered with honesty and a raised eyebrow tend to stick. The chart isn't being mean — it's being specific. Those two things can feel the same from the inside.

If something hits uncomfortably close to home: that is the chart. Not us. We are just the messenger.
